Since 1945, Restwell Upholstering was operated by the three Peltz brothers, Bill, Bob & Ron. The original shop was located at 245 Simcoe Street (near the original fire hall). They were taught the business by their father Harold. Bill's focus was on bookkeeping and upholstering, Bob was in sales and Ron was upholstering and sewing. Through hard work and dedication, they grew their little shop.

The second location was originally one story high on a dirt road in what was then known as Downer's Corners. How times have changed! The second story was added in the early '80s and by 1990 grew to have 15 employees. Bill retired in 1986 followed by Ron in the '90s and then Bob's wife Gert.

Longtime employee Kerri and her husband Randy took over the company in March 2008. There are currently 10 employees continuing the tradition of hard work and service to Peterborough and the surrounding area hopefully for many years to come!!!!

Restwell moved from its old location on Ashburnham to its current location at 494 The Parkway across from Costco. In the front of the building there are the Hot Tub People, Apple Auto Glass, and and the Construction Exchange. We are around the back of the building in Unit 5. Hope to see you soon!
