Since 1945, Restwell Upholstery has been helping customers reimagine their spaces with expertly crafted upholstery solutions.
With decades of experience and a deep passion for our craft, we offer professional upholstery services for residential, commercial, automotive, and custom projects of all kinds. Where We Began:
OUR JOURNEY
Restwell Upholstering has deep roots in the Peterborough area, starting all the way back in 1945 with the Peltz brothers: Bill, Bob, and Ron. Mentored by their father Harold, each brought their own strengths - bookkeeping, sales, sewing, and of course, upholstery. Their original location on Simcoe Street (near the old firehall) was just the beginning. As demand increased, the shop moved to what was then a quiet dirt road in Downer's Corners, eventually expanding to a two-story facility and a team of 15 by the early 1990's. How time's have changed! Through decades of hard work, the Peltz family built a legacy of skill, dedication, and family values that continues to shape our work today.

In 2008, long-time employees Kerri Rogers and her husband Randy took over as owners, keeping the business in trusted hands from one family to another. Just a few years later in 2013, we packed up from our cozy spot at Lansdowne and Ashburnham and moved into a larger space on The Parkway where we remain today. That gave us more room to grow! With more space and more staff, we have been able to expand our services and keep up with the amazing support we've received over the years. Through it all, we've stayed a family business at heart - serving yours with quality, care, and craftsmanship.
