Frequently asked questions
We get it—upholstery comes with a lot of “how does this work?!” Whether you're restoring a vintage piece, tackling a DIY project, or just curious about how long a sofa makeover takes, we’ve gathered our most common questions here to make things easy. Still wondering about something? Just reach out—we're happy to help!
The best place to start is by sending us photos of the piece (or pieces) you would like quoted on. The more photos the better! Measurements are also helpful, even if they are a rough estimate. Our knowledgeable staff is also available via phone call, or stop by our showroom anytime during business hours!
That is the golden question! Cost varies based on a number of factors: the style of the piece, material chosen and how much is needed, if new foam or padding is required, if any repairs are needed, etc. We will always do our best to give you the most accurate estimate. Over the last several years, we have tracked and recorded how long each style of furniture requires to be completed and we will use this as part of your estimate.
Scheduling may vary based on how far out we are booking; feel free to call or send an email and check on our current scheduling times. If you are ordering a custom fabric, they may take a couple weeks to arrive.
So our team members can provide you with the most accurate estimate, beneficial information can include: photos of the piece(s), measurements/dimensions, material preference (if any), any additional notes - is it comfortable? do you want new foam? how often is the piece used? etc.
No, our estimates are always free! You can request an estimate via email, phone, or in person in our showroom.

Reupholstering or repairing your furniture is often a smarter, more sustainable choice. Here's why:
Eco-friendly: it's a greener option that helps reduce waste. We also offer fabric choices made from recycled bottles and fibres, making your refresh even more sustainable
Preserve what matters: heirloom or sentimental pieces carry history and memories - reupholstery let's you keep those intact while breathing new life into the piece
Built to last: many older furniture pieces were crafted using higher-quality materials and construction than most modern mass-produced items
Custom to you: reupholstery lets you choose the perfect fabric, colour, and style to match your space - something you can't often do with store-bought furniture
Cost-effective: sometimes all your piece needs is new foam or a simple repair, which is far more affordable than buying new
Keep the perfect fit: if your furniture is just the right size or style for your space, reupholstering keeps what works while updating what doesn't
